Ten Lessons To Transform Your Marriage by John & Julie Gottman  The Gottmans use everyday language to describe some of the most useful techniques to help couples with communication and other relational problems.

After the Honeymoon by Dan Wile  John Gottman considers Dan Wile to be one of the best marriage counselors. Wile teaches couples how to use their fights as a strength to build intimacy in their relationships.

Creating a Life by James Hollis James Hollis writes beautifully and powerfully about developing depth in one's life. This is one of his best works, in my opinion.

What Matters Most by James Hollis  This is James Hollis' latest book. He poses the questions that most deeply disturb us, keep us awake at night, and have the potential to draw us into a deeper, more considered life.

Phallos: Sacred Image of the Masculine by Eugene Monick  Monick addresses men's issues of power and healing in both this book and the one below.

Potency: Masculine Aggression as a Path to the Soul by Eugene Monick  A depth psychological look at men, aggression, and the path to wholeness.

Psyche and the Sacred: Spirituality Beyond Religion by Lionel Corbett  If you want to explore your spirituality without the trappings of traditional organized religion, Lionel Corbett makes an excellent guide.

I Thought It Was Just Me by Brene Brown  Brene Brown is a professor at University of Houston. She compassionately tells the stories of women who have endured shame and recovered. Brown presents a model for developing shame resilience. Although written primarily for women, men would (and do) benefit from reading her work.

The Heroine's Journey by Maureen Murdock  A wonderfully written book which looks at the individuation process for women.

Stop Walking on Eggshells by Paul Mason & Randi Kreger  Mason & Kreger offer help for family members and friends of people with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Anger: Wisdom for Cooling the Flames by Thich Nhat Hanh  Offers a Buddhist perspective on anger management.

Raising Children You Can Live with by Jamie Raser  Raser uses strategic parenting, reminding parents, "If you're working harder than your kids, you're doing something wrong." A very helpful guide in parenting.

Joint Custody with a Jerk by Julie Ross   A great resource for divorced parents who find their "ex's" make co-parenting a nightmare.
